The Pérez Art Museum Miami continues to deepen its ties with the Caribbean. The museum has announced the seventh annual cycle of its Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI) Fellowship Program, inviting artists, researchers, scholars, and women and nonbinary photographers from the Caribbean and its diaspora to advance creative projects and research that celebrate and study Caribbean art and thought.
The program offers three self-directed tracks: the CCI Artist Fellowship, the CCI Research Fellowship, and the CCI + WOPHA (Women Photographers International Archive) Fellowship. Fellows gain access to PAMM’s institutional resources, the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University, and Green Space Miami — a cross-institutional network designed to amplify Caribbean voices on a global stage. The 2026 fellowship projects run from September through December.
The program is powered by a transformative $5 million gift from the Green Family Foundation, which renamed and endowed the institute to ensure its long-term growth across Miami-Dade County. In a city where Caribbean culture pulses through Little Haiti, Little Havana, and Little Santo Domingo, the fellowship is yet another reason Miami stands as a global capital of Caribbean creativity.
