Grab the leash and round up the family: the 37th Annual VCA Walk for the Animals is set for Saturday, February 20, 2027, and it’s one of the happiest mornings of the year in South Florida.
From 7:30 a.m. to noon, walkers and their four-legged friends will take a one-mile stroll around beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach, starting at the Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park (80 Las Olas Circle). The event is completely free to join — and every step supports a great cause: it’s the largest annual fundraiser hosted by the Humane Society of Broward County, helping thousands of shelter animals find loving homes.
Expect wagging tails, smiling faces, and that unbeatable feeling of doing good while having fun. Whether you’re a proud pet parent or just an animal lover, this is your invitation to walk for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Mark your calendar, lace up your sneakers, and bring your pup — February 20 is going to be a beautiful day at the beach!
