Deering Estate opens its new Sunday conservation workshop series on October 11 with a morning dedicated to the tiny creatures that keep South Florida blooming: pollinators.
The season’s first workshop is led by the Miami Blue Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association, with Adam Skowronsk guiding visitors through the nectar plants that feed butterflies, bees, moths and birds. It’s a hands-on way for families to learn how their own gardens can become part of the local ecosystem.
The series continues on select Sundays through June 13, 2027, with the Tropical Audubon Society on November 8 and a Diamondback Terrapin update on December 13. Admission is just $5 per person, and children 12 and under are free.
