South Florida’s original short film festival is turning 25: the MIAMI short FILM FESTIVAL returns November 13–16, 2026, with four days of curated screenings, filmmaker Q&As, special events and networking, all celebrating the art of the short film.
Venues include the historic Deering Estate, O Cinema and Silverspot Cinema in Downtown Miami. At Deering Estate, each evening opens with a cocktail reception around 7:00 PM followed by featured short films at about 8:00 PM — cinema under the stars in one of Miami’s most magical settings. Saturday, November 14 brings the program “States of Becoming,” four intimate stories about transformation, connection and the passage of time.
For a quarter century, MIAMIsFF has spotlighted innovative new voices and connected audiences with independent cinema in an intimate, dynamic setting. It is one of the cultural gems of Miami’s fall season — and a perfect date night or outing with fellow film lovers.
