A Latin Grammy winner is coming to one of Miami’s most beloved jazz stages. Violinist Daniela Padrón headlines WDNA 88.9FM’s October Jazz Encounters concert on Friday, October 9, 2026, performing live at the station’s Jazz Gallery with Omar Herrera on guitar and cuatro and Javier Espinoza on bass.
Padrón, a Venezuelan American violinist, won the 2025 Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album for Joropango with the band Kerreke — music that bridges classical tradition with the deep musical roots of Latin America. Expect a night where the violin’s classical soul meets the rhythms of home.
Ticket holders can arrive at 7 p.m. for a pre-show reception, plus a new art exhibition titled Cages & Wages presented by Beyond the Bars. Best of all for young music lovers: limited free tickets are available for students, who are also invited to join a post-show jam session.
The WDNA Jazz Gallery is at 2921 Coral Way in Miami, and tickets are available online. Don’t miss this one — a Latin Grammy artist in an intimate jazz room is the kind of Miami night that stays with you.
