Here’s a beautiful way to spend a Saturday morning: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens invites everyone to the 11th Annual Sea Level Solutions Day on Saturday, October 10, from 8:00 AM to noon — a free, family-friendly celebration of community science during October’s king tide.
Every year, seasonal king tides — the highest tides of the year — roll into South Florida. Instead of just watching the water rise, Vizcaya turns the moment into action: volunteers team up with scientists to collect real flood data across the community. That data powers 11 years (and counting!) of citizen science helping build a more resilient Miami.
It’s hands-on, it’s outdoors on stunning Biscayne Bay, and it’s proof of what Miami does best: neighbors coming together to take care of their city. Bring the kids, bring your curiosity, and be part of the solution.
