It’s official: the holidays in Miami don’t start until the first snow falls on the Arsht Center stage! George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, the crown jewel of Miami City Ballet’s 26/27 season, returns December 11–27 — and it’s pure magic for all ages.
Follow young Marie and her Nutcracker Prince through the Land of Sweets, with Balanchine’s brilliant choreography, Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score, and Miami City Ballet’s world-class dancers. It’s the season opener “American Rhythms” and this holiday classic back-to-back — proof the company’s 26/27 season is one of its most exciting yet.
Whether it’s your family’s yearly tradition or your very first Nutcracker, there’s nothing quite like watching the Snowflake waltz and the Sugar Plum Fairy’s variation live. Matinees and evening performances make it easy to fit into any schedule — and with shows running from December 11 through 27, there are plenty of chances to go.
Tickets are on sale now at miamicityballet.org.
