Miami is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a free day of family fun at one of the city’s most beloved landmarks. Family Day: Madrid-Miami “Celebrando la Hispanidad” takes over the iconic Freedom Tower on Sunday, October 4, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM — and admission is completely free.
Presented by Miami Dade College, the celebration brings the community together to honor the Hispanic roots that shape Miami’s culture every single day. Expect live music, cultural performances, family-friendly activities and plenty of sabor in the plaza of the historic Freedom Tower at 600 Biscayne Boulevard — the “Torre de la Libertad,” a symbol of Miami’s immigrant story since 1962.
It is the perfect plan for the whole family: bring the kids, bring abuela, and spend a Sunday morning soaking up the traditions, flavors and rhythms of the Hispanic world, right in the heart of downtown Miami.
