Miami Children’s Museum is opening its doors early this Saturday, October 10, for a Halloween celebration designed with every family in mind. Sensory Friendly Saturday: Halloween Bash runs from 9:00 to 11:00 AM as a low-stimulation morning where kids who prefer a calmer environment can enjoy all the spooky-season fun.
Little ones can dig into spooky sensory bins, join a Halloween drum circle, and catch a performance of the museum’s in-house show “Creepy Pair of Underwear” — all at a gentler pace, with fewer crowds and reduced noise. Community partners will also be on hand with resources for families.
It is a wonderful option for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities — and for any family that prefers to start the day softly. After the event, families are welcome to stay and explore the museum’s beloved exhibits, from the supermarket to the sandcastle and the giant piano.
Sensory Friendly Saturday: Halloween Bash takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, 9:00–11:00 AM, at Miami Children’s Museum, 980 MacArthur Causeway, Miami. Check miamichildrensmuseum.org for tickets and details.
