The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is turning its blockbuster exhibition “The Science Behind Pixar” into the theme of its most glamorous night of the year.
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 6:30 to 10:00 PM, Frost Science and its Board of Trustees host “An Evening of Discovery: The Science Behind Pixar,” the museum’s signature annual fundraising gala celebrating science, innovation, and imagination.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception, followed by an elegant seated dinner, special presentations, and exclusive remarks from Steve May, Chief Technology Officer at Pixar Animation Studios. As one of the pioneers behind Pixar’s groundbreaking animation technology, May will share insights into the remarkable intersection of creativity and cutting-edge science that brings beloved characters to life.
Proceeds support Frost Science’s mission to inspire curiosity and connect people to the wonders of science — funding exhibitions, education programs, and community science initiatives across South Florida.
The gala joins community leaders, philanthropists, corporate partners, and science enthusiasts for a night where science, innovation, and philanthropy come together under one very happy roof.
