Award-winning, internationally acclaimed vocalist Nicole Henry has called Miami home since her days at the University of Miami — and every December she gives back to the city that shaped her. On Wednesday, December 16, she takes the stage at the newly renovated Miami Beach Bandshell for her 13th annual winter holiday concert.
This year’s show benefits two causes close to her heart: the Miami Music Project, which brings free music education to children across Miami-Dade, and SAVE, the longtime equality organization. Thirteen years of holiday shows have turned the concert into a beloved Miami Beach tradition, pairing Henry’s celebrated jazz and soul voice with a night of generosity.
Show time is 7:30 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM) and the concert is all ages. The Bandshell is now covered by a new canopy, so the show goes on rain or shine — no outside food or drink, but food vendors and a fully-stocked bar are inside the venue. Parking is available in the municipal lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue.
