Wynwood Walls is giving visitors something brand new to watch: art being made. The open-air museum has launched an Artist-in-Residence program — among the few of its kind anywhere — running November 1 through January 31.
The inaugural residency recreates the Los Angeles studio of Neo-Expressionist painter Danny Minnick right here in Miami. During open studio hours, museum visitors are invited to observe the artist at work — a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how large-scale urban contemporary art comes to life.
It’s a perfect reason for a family day in Wynwood this season: stroll the Walls, grab lunch nearby, and step into a working artist’s studio — all in one happy outing.
Program dates: November 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027, Wynwood Walls, 2516 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami. Details at thewynwoodwalls.com.
