Look up in Collins Park: The Bass now wears one of the boldest faces in Miami Beach. Mexican artist Gabriel Rico’s “IX Mural from the series–Reducción Objetiva Orquestada” is on view outdoors at The Bass from August 29, 2026 through August 2028 — a monumental work you can experience day or night, no ticket required.
Known for combining natural and manufactured objects into witty, philosophical compositions, Rico brings his signature playfulness to the museum’s facade, turning architecture itself into a canvas. It’s the latest in The Bass’s commitment to bringing contemporary art out of the galleries and into the public realm — and one more reason Collins Park keeps getting better.
Snap a photo on your next stroll through the park, then step inside to see the full season of exhibitions.
