The countdown to Miami Art Week just got real. Art Basel has announced the exhibitor lineup and first program highlights for the 2026 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, taking over the Miami Beach Convention Center from December 4 to 6, with VIP Preview Days on December 2 and 3 — and this year’s fair comes with a brand-new look.
A total of 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories will fill the show, the most significant commercial moment in the U.S. art market calendar. New in 2026, the fair debuts a substantially reconfigured showfloor: about 12% less floor space, four hospitality plazas instead of five, longer sightlines across the Convention Center, and blue-chip galleries distributed throughout the show rather than grouped in one area — a more focused, navigable fair where programs of different scales and geographies sit side by side.
More than 30 galleries join Art Basel Miami Beach for the first time, most through the project-based sectors Nova, Positions, and Survey. The main Galleries sector convenes 204 exhibitors, with Kabinett’s 28 focused presentations, Nova’s 20 galleries of new work, Positions’ 12 solo projects by emerging artists, and Survey’s 16 historically focused presentations.
Latin America and the Caribbean shine again: Brazil is the show’s third-largest national contingent, and El Apartamento — the first Cuba-based gallery to participate in the fair — returns. South Florida’s own presence is stronger than ever, with Fredric Snitzer Gallery, David Castillo, Gavlak, and Nina Johnson back, Spinello Projects making its Galleries debut, and new local faces in Survey.
Zero 10, Art Basel’s platform for digital-era art, returns with Generation, its largest presentation yet: 19 projects by artists including Jon Rafman, Refik Anadol, and Sarah Meyohas, curated by Karen Archey with Eli Scheinman.
And beyond the showfloor, the city gets gifts: the Turrell Art Foundation and Art Basel, supported by Pace Gallery, will unveil a significant new body of work by James Turrell outdoors, free to the public, while Public Art Fund brings Between Tides — artist-designed ping-pong tables — to Collins Park. The Art Basel Awards also return in partnership with BOSS, with the Gold Awardees revealed at the Official Awards Night on Thursday, December 3.
