Some concerts entertain you for a night; others connect you to eight centuries of human devotion. On Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., the Miami Beach Bandshell hosts The Saami Brothers for Qawwali Night — an open-air concert by one of the world’s foremost Qawwali ensembles, carrying an unbroken Sufi musical lineage nearly 800 years old.
The Saami Brothers (Karachi, Pakistan) are hereditary musicians of the Qawwal Bacha Delhi Gharana, the tradition founded by 13th-century mystic Amir Khusrau. Their performances are legendary: hypnotic rhythms, soaring improvisation, ecstatic call-and-response, and poetry reaching toward wajd — transcendent spiritual ecstasy. Qawwali is an improvisational form shaped by the space, the audience, and the energy of the moment, so no two concerts are ever the same.
Seeing this music live under the stars at the historic Bandshell — an ocean breeze, a legendary venue, and masters of one of Islam’s oldest devotional traditions — is one of those rare Miami nights you’ll talk about for years. Tickets are just $15.
