Miami is about to hear one of the world’s great opera houses — in concert. On Saturday, October 17 at 8:30 p.m., the orchestra of Spain’s Royal Theater, the Teatro Real, makes its Miami debut at the Knight Concert Hall of the Adrienne Arsht Center with a program titled “Fire · Guitar · Legend.”
Led by conductor Gustavo Gimeno, the evening brings together soprano Daniella Reyes and guitarist Juan Manuel Cañizares for an all-Spanish program bursting with passion: Falla’s beloved Siete canciones populares españolas and Rodrigo’s immortal Concierto de Aranjuez, among other gems of Spanish music. It is a rare chance to experience the sound of Madrid’s legendary theater without leaving South Florida.
The concert is part of a special gala evening celebrating the cultural bridge between Spain and Miami, with the city’s Spanish and Latin community at the heart of the celebration. Whether you’re a lifelong classical music fan or simply curious to hear one of Europe’s finest orchestras live, this debut promises an evening of pure fire.
Tickets are available through the Arsht Center. ¡Olé, Miami!
