One night, one stage, eight of Florida’s most dynamic dance companies — the Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler returns to downtown Miami for its 16th year on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., and it promises to be the most joyful launch of the South Florida dance season yet.
The Sampler is the beloved annual preview that brings the region’s dance landscape together in a single evening: ballet to contemporary, modern to folkloric. This year’s lineup features Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Dance NOW! Miami, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami, Karen Peterson & Dancers, the New World Dance Ensemble, Pioneer Winter Collective and Syncopate Collective — a spectacular buffet of short works and excerpts that double as a preview of each company’s season to come.
The event is produced by Miami Dance Futures in collaboration with New World School of the Arts, Dance NOW! Miami and the Florida Dance Education Organization, and takes place at the New World Dance Theater, 25 NE 2nd Street (8th floor) in downtown Miami.
Tickets are $25 general admission and $15 for students and seniors, available in advance at dancenowmiami.org and at the theater on the evening of the performance.
An evening of virtuosity, diversity and pure Miami movement — don’t miss it.
