Palme d’Or Winner “Fjord” Gets a Miami Preview Night, October 14 at Silverspot

One of the year’s most decorated films arrives in Miami before almost anyone else sees it. The Miami Film Festival presents a GEMS preview night of “Fjord” on Wednesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Silverspot Cinema.

Directed by master filmmaker Cristian Mungiu, “Fjord” is an explosive moral drama that won the Palme d’Or at Cannes. When a Norwegian woman and her devout Romanian husband relocate with their five children to a remote coastal town, allegations emerge that force them to confront a system of judgment blurring the line between concern and prejudice. The film stars Sebastian Stan — who received the festival’s Precious Gem Award in 2024 — alongside Renate Reinsve, and is Romania’s official submission to the Academy Awards.

Note: the festival calendar lists this preview night as sold out, so check the official listing for any newly released seats — GEMS preview nights are among the hottest tickets of the season.
