Miami’s Hispanic and Indigenous LGBTQ+ community is turning sixteen in style. Celebrate ORGULLO, the festival presented by Unity Coalition/Coalición Unida during Hispanic Heritage Month, is back for its sweet 16th edition — and the grand finale brings two unforgettable nights.
This Friday, October 9, Noche de Paladar takes over El Jardin Inn in Little Havana (1568 SW 7th St) with a “Pasaporte a Music, Art & Food.” The night features live music by Las Martí (Colombia), JChris (Perú) and Francia (Venezuela), plus entertainment by ADORA (Cuba) — and delicious samples from top local restaurants. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door.
Then on Friday, October 16, the festival closes with Noche de Honor, its gala and awards night at Fogo de Chão in Miami Beach (836 1st Street). The evening honors community leaders — including Florida Senator Shevrin Jones, Yoval David, Giovanni Falchetti, Joe Granda and Ylan Chrem — with a fashion show, dinner (vegan options available) and the UC Legends Honors. Tickets are $150.
Sixteen years of Hispanic and Indigenous pride, art, music and community — all in Miami. ¡Feliz Sweet 16, ORGULLO!
