Curtain up on an exciting year for Miami Beach theater. Miami New Drama has announced its 2026/2027 season at the historic Colony Theatre on Lincoln Road, and it’s packed with premieres: three world premieres plus the 10th-anniversary return of one of the company’s most beloved productions.
The season opens November 5–29, 2026 with the world premiere of “Gandhi and the Jew,” followed by the 10th-anniversary production of “The Golem of Havana” (January 28–February 28, 2027), the company’s hit musical that has charmed audiences for a decade. Spring brings two more world premieres: “The Great Behind” by Carmen Pelaez (April 1–25, 2027) and “Cianuro Espumante” by Karin Valecillos (June 17–July 18, 2027) — a Spanish-language Poirot-style mystery that gives Spanish-speaking audiences a show of their own.
Housed in the beautifully restored 1935 Art Deco Colony Theatre, Miami New Drama keeps raising the bar for live theater in Miami Beach, blending world-class premieres with stories that speak to the city’s cultures. Subscriptions for the full season are on sale now — the perfect plan for theater lovers.
