The biggest week in American art is taking shape. Art Basel Miami Beach returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center from December 4–6, 2026, with a 2026 edition that is deliberately more focused — and full of firsts.
This year the fair welcomes 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories across a substantially reconfigured show floor: about 12 percent less space, organized around four hospitality plazas instead of five, with blue-chip galleries distributed throughout the halls rather than grouped together. More than 30 galleries are joining for the first time, most through the project-based Nova, Positions, and Survey sectors. Galleries from Latin America and the Caribbean are represented in depth, Brazil is once again the fair’s third-largest national contingent, and South Florida galleries enjoy a bigger presence than ever.
The fair opens to the public December 4–6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, following invitation-only preview days December 2–3. Single-day tickets start at $92, with First Access ($105), weekend ($170), and reduced ($68) options.
Beyond the Convention Center, the celebration spills across the city: Miami Art Week runs November 30–December 6 with more than twenty satellite fairs; the Art Basel Awards night takes over December 3; and free public art includes a new outdoor work by James Turrell, the Public Art Fund’s participatory “Between Tides” ping-pong tables in Collins Park, and Zero 10’s digital showcase “Generation.” More than 80,000 visitors are expected — plan your art week now.
