Miami Beach comes alive with the rhythms of Puerto Rico. The 3rd Festival de Bomba y Plena takes over the Miami Beach Bandshell on Sunday, October 25, a free cultural celebration of Afro-Puerto Rican heritage through music, dance, and community engagement.
The lineup features D’Pleneros, Los Capullitos de Alelí, JACAREO, and Miamibloco, plus an open bombazo that invites the audience to join in — bomba and plena are music you don’t just watch, you become part of.
Produced by Afro Borinken Roots Performing Group, the festival also offers cultural demonstrations, artisan vendors, food, and family-friendly programming. Since its launch in 2024, the festival has welcomed more than 1,000 attendees each year and keeps growing as one of South Florida’s premier celebrations of Afro-Puerto Rican traditions.
The details: Sunday, October 25, 2026. Doors 4 p.m., show 5 p.m. Miami Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Free admission, all ages.
