Jamaica’s National Dance Theatre Company Brings Afro-Caribbean Gala to Miami on Halloween Night

On Halloween night, Miami hosts a celebration of a different kind of magic. The National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica arrives at The Moss Center on Saturday, October 31 for a two-hour gala honoring Afro-Caribbean tradition through movement, music and rhythm.

The program blends Afro-Caribbean traditions with contemporary choreography, live music and ancestral drumming. Works on the bill include Home, Ascending, Bloom: On Earth as it is in Heaven and Traddin’ — pieces that carry the stories of the Caribbean across the stage.

The Moss Center is a Miami-Dade County public cultural venue in Cutler Bay, and this gala brings international culture to South Dade on a night when the whole city is already out celebrating. A perfect plan for families and dance lovers.
