Halloween gets a brilliant twist in Miami this year. The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is bringing back its signature Halloween celebration — the 10th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash — on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. And yes, costumes are very much encouraged.
It’s a full day of hands-on science that’s so fun, it’s almost scary: radical chemistry reactions, eye-catching experiments in the Mad Science Lab, and eerie demos led by scientists from local universities and professional organizations. The event doubles as a celebration of National Chemistry Week, so the whole museum becomes one big laboratory of spooky discoveries.
Best of all, all the Monster Mash programming is free with paid museum admission — a perfect family plan for Halloween day before the evening trick-or-treating begins. The event is generously presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority and sponsored by Royal Caribbean, with Kiddos Magazine as media sponsor.
