Masked Marvels: Miami City Ballet Brings Halloween Dance Magic to The Bass

Halloween meets high art at The Bass. On Sunday, October 25, Miami City Ballet joins The Bass Museum of Art for Masked Marvels, a free Family Day that blends dance, design, and spooky-season creativity.

Inspired by the theatrical apparitions of Vagabondia, families will create expressive masks using line, shape, and texture — perfect for costumes and imaginative play. The highlight: an Explore Dance Community Class led by a Miami City Ballet Community Engagement Teaching Artist. Designed for all ages and experience levels, the interactive movement class invites children and adults to explore creative movement, express themselves, and connect through dance. No dance experience is necessary — just come ready to move, create, and have fun.

The Bass’s free Family Days are one of Miami Beach’s best-kept weekend secrets: world-class art, hands-on activities, and now, a taste of ballet magic.

The details: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 2 to 4 p.m. The Bass Museum of Art, 2100 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. Admission is free.
