This Sunday, October 4, two cities separated by an ocean will celebrate together as one. Miami Dade College hosts Family Day: Madrid–Miami “Celebrando la Hispanidad,” a free family celebration of Hispanic culture and heritage at the iconic Freedom Tower in downtown Miami, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The heart of the day is a live international connection with Madrid: the Cabalgata de la Hispanidad 2026 happening in Spain will be streamed live for audiences at the Freedom Tower, while Miami’s own festivities are shared live with Madrid. It’s a true two-way cultural bridge in real time.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy live music, dance, theater, fashion and interactive cultural experiences celebrating Hispanic traditions. The celebration also honors the historic relationship between Spain and the United States, as the nation commemorates America 250.
Admission is free and registration is requested through Eventbrite. Free parking is available in MDC’s Parking Lot 1, just south of the Freedom Tower. Bring the whole family for a Sunday filled with culture, music and joy.
