Final Weeks: Harmony Korine’s “Perfect Nonsense” Closes October 18 at ICA Miami

The clock is ticking on one of the most talked-about art moments of the year in Miami. “Harmony Korine: Perfect Nonsense,” the first-ever U.S. museum survey of the legendary artist and filmmaker, enters its final weeks at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) in the Design District, closing on October 18, 2026.

The exhibition brings together more than 75 works tracing the full arc of Korine’s career, from the teenager who wrote the screenplay for the 1995 generation-defining film “Kids” at age nineteen to one of cinema’s boldest voices — and, more recently, a restless painter exploring figuration, abstraction, and new image-making technologies.

Beyond film, “Perfect Nonsense” dives into the expansive worlds Korine has built since adolescence: painting, photography, collage, zines, and drawing. It’s a rare chance to see how one artist has blurred the lines between cinema, contemporary art, and popular culture for three decades.

ICA Miami sits at 61 NE 41st Street and is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If Miami is your home — or your happy place — don’t miss this final call to see art history in the making, right here in the Design District.
