Miami Carnival 2026 Takes Over Columbus Day Weekend with J’ouvert, Pan Jamboree and a Spectacular Parade of Bands

The biggest Caribbean carnival in the United States is back! Miami Carnival 2026 takes over Columbus Day weekend with four days of music, color and island pride at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Grounds. The festivities begin with Junior Carnival on Saturday, October 3 — a joyful family day where the youngest revelers shine in their own costumes. On Friday, October 9, the free Pan Jamboree fills the air with the sweet sounds of steel pan in a celebration open to everyone. Saturday, October 10 brings J’ouvert, the legendary dawn party of paint, powder and soca music. And on Sunday, October 11, the weekend reaches its peak with the Parade of Bands and Concert, as masqueraders in dazzling costumes dance along the parade route. Running since 1984, Miami Carnival celebrates the Caribbean heritage that pulses through South Florida, bringing together families and friends from every island and every neighborhood. It is one of Miami’s most vibrant traditions — and one of its happiest weekends of the year. Tickets for J’ouvert, the parade and the concert are on sale now at miamicarnival.org, while Pan Jamboree is completely free. Costumes, flags and good vibes encouraged. Photo: Miami Carnival
