From Baldessari to Basquiat: Contemporary Masters Shine at PAMM This Saturday

This Saturday, October 10, is a perfect day to fall in love with art all over again. Pérez Art Museum Miami is celebrating two giants of contemporary art — John Baldessari and Jean-Michel Basquiat — with landmark exhibitions that put Miami right at the center of the art world this weekend.

“John Baldessari: The End of the Line” traces the playful, rule-breaking career of the California artist who turned language and found photographs into pure delight, while “Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols” brings the raw energy of the legendary New York painter to the museum’s waterfront galleries. The visit also includes “This is America: Selections from PAMM’s Collection” and “One Becomes Many” — a full afternoon of inspiration under one roof.

Art Muse Academy is leading a special guided tour this Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., with museum admission included, so you can experience these masterpieces alongside an expert storyteller. Tickets are $60.54 through Eventbrite — just meet at the PAMM front desk at 11:45 a.m.

The museum sits at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami’s beautiful Museum Park, steps from Biscayne Bay. Bring a friend, stay for lunch with a view, and make it a Saturday to remember.
