Your October Guide to Miami-Dade’s Monthly Art Walks

October is the perfect month to discover Miami on foot, gallery by gallery. Miami-Dade’s beloved monthly art walks light up neighborhoods across the county — and several happen this very month, most of them free and family-friendly.

Start TONIGHT, Friday, October 2: Coral Gables Gallery Night, one of Miami’s longest-running monthly art events, takes over Downtown Coral Gables from 6 to 10 p.m. Galleries and museums across the City Beautiful open their doors for an evening stroll through art, all free of charge.

Then mark Saturday, October 11 on the calendar: the Wynwood Art Walk (second Saturdays) transforms the Wynwood Marketplace, 2250 NW Second Avenue, from 3 to 11:30 p.m. Watch artists create works live, browse local vendors, and enjoy arts and crafts for kids — an open-air celebration of the district’s creative spirit.

Design District lovers have the bi-monthly Public Art Tour, a guided walk through one of the world’s most impressive open-air collections of contemporary public art.

The best part? Most of these art walks are free, outdoors, and perfect for all ages. Bring comfortable shoes, bring the family, and see Miami through the eyes of its artists.
