Zoo Miami is the largest and oldest in the United States.
The tropical weather of the city allows it to have a wide range of animals from Asia, Africa, and Australia.
The open-air conditions allow recreation of certain natural habitats where more than 3,000 specimens come from.
The Zoo provides a safe place for every animal, far away from the dangers of extinction, classifying them according to the continent that they come from.
In accordance with their geographical origin, they are grouped together and divided into mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and birds.
The park opens every day between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
It is not allowed to enter with food of any kind, except food for children of less than two years old.
With a reservation, you can enjoy a night full of wild adventures with night animals between 7:00 and 9:00 PM.
Equally, the Zoo has an annual family camp. Camping starts Saturday at 6:00 PM and ends Sunday at 9:30 AM.
Later on one can enjoy the entire day at the park. The camp includes bonfires, candy, and a light breakfast.
In the Zoo it is permitted to take photographs for personal use.
Recordings and photos for commercial purposes are allowed only under previous authorization.
Children of two years or less are free to enter. The cost of entry for adults is $22.95 and children between 3 and 12 years $18.95. Not including taxes.
The park also has an annual membership from $64.00 to $169.00.
There are also discounts to school groups, senior citizens, active duty military, and war veterans.
You can travel through the park on a rented Quadricycle if you want. Also, in a monorail or a streetcar. All with additional cost.
